No. The course is built from the book's twenty-one chapters but stands entirely on its own, and assumes no psychology background.
No. It describes patterns. A pattern that fits is not a diagnosis, and a parent who fits a description is not a case. The course is explicit about this in Module 2.
No, and the course says so directly. The film says she believed her son was dead. The course uses the silence in the story — the years nobody accounts for — as a lens, never as an accusation against any real or fictional parent.
Yes, and the course names it up front: some of this material is destabilising. If it opens something up, that is a reason to work it through with a person in the room, not a reason to read faster. This is education, not therapy.
