After the Birth: Understanding and Healing Perinatal & Postnatal PTSD
Trauma during and after pregnancy is real, common, and treatable β and it is not "just part of motherhood."
This trauma-informed course equips mothers, partners, birth workers, ministry leaders, and clinicians to recognize, validate, and respond to trauma experienced during pregnancy, labor, delivery, NICU hospitalization, postpartum recovery, and early motherhood. It integrates current research on childbirth-related PTSD, attachment, nervous-system dysregulation, maternal mental health, bonding, breastfeeding, relational support, and recovery planning.
Why this course exists
Perinatal PTSD is common enough to require education, under-screened enough to be missed, and impactful enough to affect maternal safety, bonding, breastfeeding, relationships, and infant well-being. This course emphasizes validation, screening, referral, trauma-informed care, and practical recovery.
Start with a baseline
