Anger is not the enemy — it is a signal. It is what we do with it that matters. This court-ordered anger management psychoeducation program is built on the understanding that destructive anger rarely exists in a vacuum. Behind most uncontrolled anger is unprocessed trauma, chronic stress, unresolved wounds, and patterns learned in environments that offered no better model.
Dr. Quinones developed and facilitates this curriculum as a licensed behavioral health professional with forensic psychology training and two decades working with individuals in the highest-stakes situations. Curriculum aligned with research-informed principles integrating anger management interventions, trauma-informed psychoeducation, and faith-based principles emphasizing wisdom, self-control, and restoration.
While trauma may help explain emotional reactivity, this course is clear: every individual remains responsible for their behavior, communication, and decision-making. Explanation is not excuse. This is a course about change.
This curriculum integrates biblical wisdom alongside evidence-based practice — not as a replacement for clinical rigor, but as a deeper foundation. Scripture has spoken on anger, self-control, and restoration for thousands of years. These passages anchor each module.
Upon completing all 8 modules and the required Anger & Emotional Regulation Reflective Inventory, participants receive a Certificate of Completion generated and issued by GraceRoot Institute. The certificate is designed for participant records and referring-authority review and includes all documentation courts typically require.
Certificate accessibility: Your certificate is available through your student dashboard after 100% module completion and submission of the required reflective inventory. It can be printed or saved as a PDF for your records or referring-authority review.
Required assessment: Enrolled students complete the Anger & Emotional Regulation Reflective Inventory inside the course and may download a completed copy for submission records.
Dr. Quinones brings over 20 years of clinical experience spanning jail cells, rehab centers, forensic settings, and private practice. She holds dual state licensure and has spent her career working with individuals who have harmed and been harmed — and watching them rebuild. Her court-ordered programs draw on this direct experience and are designed to produce real behavioral change, not just documentation.
