For emerging adults preparing for independent life: recent high school graduates, college and graduate-school transitioners, former foster youth, immigrants and newcomers, young parents, and workforce-entry learners. Practical life skills, career readiness, and emotional wellness taught with trauma-aware structure.
Every year, young people leave familiar support systems and step into adult responsibilities with uneven preparation. The LAUNCH! Get Ready for Life program meets them with clinically grounded, practically focused education: not pressure, not stigma, but skills.
One clear track built around practical transition needs: housing, money, healthcare, work, emotional regulation, legal rights, benefits navigation, and healthy relationships.
The GraceRoot LAUNCH! Get Ready for Life program is an independent GraceRoot course. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Texas DFPS or the Texas Preparation for Adult Living program.
Dr. Quinones brings over 20 years of clinical experience working with families, youth, and individuals navigating systemic trauma, including foster care, juvenile justice, and child protective services settings. A Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a PhD in Psychology and graduate training in forensic psychology, she understands what young people in transition need: practical skills, clear frameworks, and a path forward. LAUNCH! Get Ready for Life is built on that foundation: research-informed, trauma-aware, and grounded in real transition challenges.
